Suffering is an inevitable part of the human experience, and it can often leave us feeling broken, discouraged, and questioning the purpose behind our pain. However, as believers, we can find solace in knowing that God does not waste our suffering. In seasons of suffering your motives become purified, your focus becomes clear, and you can sense the nearness of God more so than in any other season.
There is something about a trial, a difficult season, that causes and leads us to perceive God's "divine companionship" in other ways we may have not before.
It's a treasure far above anything you can possess here on Earth.
No monetary value can be placed on it, it is priceless.
Nothing can compare to that divine fellowship you have with God in those seasons of suffering, pain, and loss.
That nearness is sensed, that I may know him and the power of his fellowship and suffering.
Often we become most like Jesus Christ when we suffer.
The Christian life isn't always about suffering.
It is about making suffering an opportunity rather than wasted time.
It is in our suffering that we know this divine companionship, we surrender to the influence of his presence. And when you come to these seasons of brokenness, His GRACE fills the empty space.
His companionship is the glue that holds the pieces together.
1. The Refining Process:
Suffering serves as a refining process, shaping and molding us into stronger and more resilient individuals. Just as gold is purified through fire, our character is refined through the trials we endure.
1 Peter 1:6-7 (NIV):"In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
2. Dependence on God:

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV): "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
